As the 2026 track and field season comes to a close and conference and state champions have been crowned, only a handful of awards remain. Among the most prestigious are the Coach of the Year and Athlete of the Year awards, and once again, San Diego Mesa College was well represented.

The San Diego Mesa College women’s track and field team closed out another strong season with a fourth-place finish at the 2026 3C2A State Championships, held at Hilmer Lodge Stadium on the campus of Mt. San Antonio College.

After missing the podium in 2024 and then earning a third-place finish in 2025, the San Diego Mesa women’s track and field team heads into this year’s state championships determined to climb even higher and contend for a team title.

The San Diego Mesa Men’s and Women’s Track and Field programs proudly announce that 36 student-athletes have earned All-State Scholar-Athlete honors.
