The San Diego Mesa College Athletic Department is proud to announce that Beach Volleyball Head Coach Kim Lester has been named the 2025 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) All-Sports Coach of the Year.
This is Lester’s second time receiving the award, having first earned the distinction in 2004.
Under her watch, the Olympians had a historic season, capturing their fourth consecutive PCAC conference championship and finishing off the year by winning the 2025 CCCAA State Title, defeating Fresno City College 3-1 in the state title match.
In addition, Lester also coached standout duo Jaiden Mojica and Myah Gomez to a third-place finish at the 2025 CCCAA State Pairs Championships.
Reflecting on the award, Lester says:
“This award is a tremendous honor, and I’m deeply grateful to be recognized in this way. Personally, it’s a reflection of the incredible support I’ve received—from our players, coaching staff, and administration. It’s never about one person; this award really belongs to the entire program. It’s a testament to the hard work, resilience, and commitment of everyone involved. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and I’m grateful to our players for an incredible season!”
