ENTRY INFORMATION:

  • All Entries must be submitted through Direct Athletics ( http://www.directathletics.com
  • Deadline to register is Saturday April 4, 2015 at 11:00 pm.

ENTRY FEE:

  • $70.00 per athlete
  • Payment is due in full by packet pick up, Do Not Mail.
  • Please make checks payable to Mesa College Track and Field Trust

QUALIFYING   STANDARDS:

  • 2.3.2.2 CCCAA TRACK AND FIELD SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONALS

A. Combined Events Qualifying (Heptathlon/Decathlon) 7/1/12

  • The top 27 athletes, meeting the qualifying mark, obtained only in a scheduled heptathlon/decathlon during the season starting from the first day of allowed competition to the Wednesday before the Southern California Combined Events Regional Championship, will be the entrants into the CCCAA Combined Events Regional Championship.
  • Combining scores from different heptathlon and decathlon marks or days and/or using combined marks from track and field meets spread throughout the season in order to meet qualification standards is not allowed.
  • The qualifying mark will be the 27th best mark averaged from the previous four (4) years in those events. If there are not 27 athletes who meet the qualifying standard, then those spots will be filled with the next best marks on the list of multi-event athletes. (Adopted 4/4/14 effective 7/1/14)

CONFIRMATION:

  • Accepted entries will be e-mailed and hopefully put on the CCCAA website on Sunday April 5, 2015 by 9:00 pm.

SCRATCH   DEADLINE:

  • Monday April 6, 2015 by  12:00 pm (noon)
  • Scratches made after the deadline are obligated to the entry fee.

CHECK – IN and Entrance to Stadium:

  • Coaches/Athletes: Packet pick-up will be available by 9:00 am on Day-1 of the championship. Payments will be accepted and due at pick-up. Please pick up packet at East entrance (Coaches and athletes only entrance).
  • Declarations and check-in will be done at the coaches meeting at 10:15 am on Tuesday April 7th, 2015.
  • Spectators: Will enter through the South end gate entrance. $10  / $7

IMPLEMENTS (weights and measures):

  • Certification will begin at 9:00 am and end at 11:30 am (on the first day). On the second day certification will begin at 8:00 am and end at 12:00 pm. Location will be at the north end shed near the shot put area.

WARM - UP   AREA

  • Warm-ups will be permitted inside the stadium on the track, aprons, and infield provided that it does not interfere with the running of an event. Throwing events must warm-up in supervised designated areas, under the strict control of the assigned official.

SPIKES:

  • 3/16”(5 mm)  or smaller, Pyramid . Needle spikes are prohibited.  A limited amount of spikes (5 mm) will be available to purchase.

TEAM CAMPS:

  •  Teams may set-up camps in the stands.  Shelter and water stations will be provided by meet management at each event site. Competitors may use personal shelters and seating, but must comply with meet management requirements.

ATHLETIC TRAINING:

  • Certified Athletic Trainer(s) will be on site for emergency oversight of the event and emergency care.
  • All athletic trainers will be located on the North West end of the stadium.
  •  Limited athletic training services for taping and or minor wound care will be provided.

  • 7025 Mesa College Dr. San Diego, Ca 92111

  • Parking Info:  Curb parking in Lot 2 will be available for buses to park after unloaded. Marked vans with “E” plates will not need a permit. Daily permits should be purchased and park in available student parking.
  • Parking available in parking structure, lots 2, 3 and 4 on East side of stadium and lot 1 on North West side as well as street parking. Must purchase parking permit.

FACILITY:

  • 9 lane Super X Mondo  surface for track and all runways
  • Shot and Discus rings are concrete

 

 

GOVERNING   RULES:

  • The championship will be governed under NCAA, CCCAA, and 5CTCA rules and Bylaws.

Driving on I-805 South

Take I-805 South.
Exit at the 805 Freeway at the BALBOA AVE EAST exit.
Merge onto BALBOA AVE and cross over the 805freeway.
Turn RIGHT onto CONVOY Street.
CONVOY Street becomes LINDA VISTA Road after about 1 mile.
Turn RIGHT onto MESA COLLEGE DR.
Follow Mesa College Drive for approximately one half mile onto the campus and make the first LEFT. Proceed to metered parking across from the Administration Building.
There is a large American Flag in front of the building.

Driving on I-805 North

Exit at Mesa College Drive.
At the top of the exit ramp turn left onto Mesa College Drive.
Cross Linda Vista Road, and continue on Mesa College Drive for approximately one half a mile onto the campus and make the first LEFT.
Follow Mesa College Drive to metered parking across from the Administration Building. There is a large American Flag in front of the building.

Driving on Freeway 163 South

Exit at Genesse West and continue on Genesse West to Linda Vista Road
Turn Right onto Linda Vista Road.
Continue on Linda Vista Road for approximately 1 mile to Mesa College Drive.
Turn LEFT onto MESA COLLEGE DR.
Follow Mesa College Drive for approximately one half mile onto the campus and make the first LEFT. Proceed to metered parking across from the Administration Building.
There is a large American Flag in front of the building.

Driving on Freeway 163 North

Exit on Mesa College Drive.
At the top of the freeway ramp turn Left onto Mesa College Drive.
Continue on Mesa College across Linda Vista Road. Approximately one half mile.
Follow Mesa College Drive for approximately one half mile onto the campus and make the first LEFT. Proceed to metered parking across from the Administration Building. There is a large American Flag in front of the building.
