Mesa off to a great start on the first day of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The Mesa 200 Free Relay (Pantoja, Campbell, Foresman, Seaux) started the meet with the first of 4 relay wins. In the 500 Free Natasha Macaskill (3rd), Amanda Fredericks (4th), Barbarah Torres (6th) and Abby McCrea (7th) all finished in the championship heat. Ian Wong lead a 1-2-3 Mesa finish in the 100 IM with Hayley Chase (2nd) and Chelsea Wells (3rd). Breanna Salas (5th) and Crystal Schleisman (7th) and Ana Pavia (11th) also scored. In the 50 Free Alicia Foresman and Alyssa Seaux tied for second while Jackie Campbell finished 5th. In the final event of the day the Mesa 400 Medley Relay (Chase, Wong, Macaskill, Foresman) finished second. After day 1 Mesa was in first place with 307 points to Grossmont (233), Palomar (133) and Southwestern (114).
