Mesa's own get high honors from the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference South

Nov. 19, 201 3 - The Olympians have had an incredible season so far as they won another conference title and now they have more to celebrate as the All Conference Team selections were announced yesterday.  Earning 1st Team All PCAC South honors were: Elisa Brooks, Itzel Caro, Lizzie Stabile, Alina Figueroa, Erika Shepard, and Dominique Clough while Katelyn Griffith and Hannah Jackson were the conference's Honorable Mention selections.  The conference gave it's highest honor, "MVP of the Conference" to freshman Itzel Caro, a La Jolla High graduate, who scored three goals and one assist so far.  Also receiving a high honor from the conference was Elisa Brooks who was crowned "Defender of the Year."  Brooks, has been Mesa's main component in their tough defense that has only allowed five goals all season.  The Mesa women have had a tremendous amount of success through their hard work and dedication but it's their head coach, Todd Curran who makes it possible for them and his brand of winning is why he was this year's "Coach of the Year" as voted by the other conference coaches.
