Mesa had a number of contributions in it's 62-35 win over Imperial Valley College. Kimberly Scott, Mesa's leading scorer had 12 points and Gennie Quintard chipped in with 11. Of note, freshman Rachael Bennett scored her first career collegiate bucket, a 3 pointer in the second half. Mesa next plays Wednesday evening (1/22) against Southwestern College at Mesa at 5pm.
Kimberly Scott (Helix High, San Diego) leads the Olympians in scoring by putting up 18 PPG to go along with nearly 5 assists, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals while sophomore sensation (see right photo), Staci Gregorio (Henderson, Nevada) is averaging over 14 points and nearly 4 boards a game while shooting 30% from beyond the arc and nearly 70% from the free throw line. Sophomore, Gennie Quintard (University City High, San Diego), is averaging 10.7 and 5 rebounds per contest.
